Teaching Philosophy
My ultimate goal as an educational professional is to be someone who can create opportunity for others. In most school districts around the country, education departments are both socially and economically limited. With that reality in mind, students often come into a school with hardships at home, learning challenges, or problems with friends. I personally believe that learning is a life-long process, and an essential element of early child education is installing that love of learning.
When I have older students as a secondary teacher, my role will be to continue that passion of learning by helping uncover their own dreams and identities. Social Studies may not be everyone’s favorite subject, but I can still help create active and integral members of society through class collaboration and transparency. If students can come into a classroom, leave all of their different circumstances at the door, and enjoy learning, I know that I have done my job in making a positive impact on the lives of my students. |
